The London Board for Shechita established in 1804, is dedicated to ensuring the reliable provision of kosher meat and poultry for London’s Jewish community and affiliated communities. While our heritage spans more than two centuries, we remain committed to upholding the highest standards of kashrus and service to the Anglo Jewish communities and wider afield. As a registered charity, we are considered one of the most trusted and respected kosher licensing organisations by kosher consumers working diligently behind the scenes - licensing, supervising and certifying abattoirs, factories, and butcher shops to guarantee that kosher meat and poultry are kosher, accessible and affordable.

Our purpose is to supply kosher meat to the UK Jewish community.
Our LBS Hechsher stands as a symbol of trust and quality where consumers can confidently rely on the highest standards of kashrus excellence.
In the past 5 years the LBS has significantly raised the standards, adding various chumras and hiddurim and recruiting world renowned staff members.
